Pfc. Edward J. rcHugh, PCRD, will play for the soccer team and Pfc. Jaime Annexy - Farjdo, Camp Pendleton, will participate in the hammer throw event. rcHugh played with national champions teams in 1949, and Annexy-Fardjo set a new mark in the Central American Oly- mpic Games in 1950 while playing for the University of Penn.
Besides track, competing Woo ions will enter teams in water p- olo, boxing, wrestling, horseman - ship,basketball, swimming, boating and rifle and pistol shooting.
For the first time, Russian and American athletes will meet. The Reds are entered officially, but it doesn't mean they will show up- -unless they can be certain they will excell. Moscow has claimed many world records, but they've never been witnessed by outsiders. Except for the 1950 European cham- pionships, no Russion has competed in track outside his homeland.

to Hickam Field. Three uln- utes later the p.mcr units for the radar gear began to hum. At 4:24 p. u., the first of several air con- trollers.arrived on the scene and the radar search for the lost air- craft coMuenced: The lost planes was later discovered and tracked to sefety.
;,portly afterward, another B-29 was reported having engine failure 550 Liles north of Oahu and anoth- er tracking operation was initiat- ed by hGCIS-2. A B-17 was sent out from Hickam to escort the disabled craft to Oahu. Lt 9:10 p.m. both crafts appeared on the radar screen and an hour later both had landed safely , thus complimenting the joint cooperation of Air-Sea Res- cue and IJGCEJ-2's efficiency. '

Dancing to the rhythms and moods of an eight-piece band and vocalist will begin at 8 p.m. and continue intil midnight.
The club bar will be open, Club Karager David T. Johns announced. Planned by the club's Board of
Governors, the series of dances has proved to be as popular with the Windward girls as with club
patrons.
MAINTENANCE ALLMANCES Vali BE CUT; CLCTH ING PRICES ARE SLASHED
According to a recent Marine Corps memorandum effective July 1, basic maintenance allowances will drop from $5.40 to $4.20 per month for all enlisted men
and women. Similar allowance cuts will be made for all services.
With the allowance slash will be a 15 per cent decline in clo- thing sales prices. Formal De- fense department approval is ex- pected shortly and the services have already begun publishing new
price lists.
