What is Outpatient Therapy

Outpatient therapy is the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of physical disabilities caused by disease or injury for patients that are not hospitalized

What is an Outpatient

Outpatient A patient that is not hospitalized overnight but who visits a hospital, clinic, or an associated facility for diagnosis or treatment.

PTA’s Working in Outpatient

About 40% of PTA’s in America are working in Hospitals or outpatient offices of Physical Therapists

Salary

A PTA working in an outpatient clinic makes about $37,120 a year

Education

A PTA needs to have an associates degree which is a two year degree.

Some continuing Education courses may be required.
