HEALTH CARE GIVING FOR PATIENTS
Giving a voice to grief and recovery and imaging daily to help humanity. We have come a long way in life but not in
humanity love, so we need to cherish each heartbeat.
Every human being needs to have the desire to be responsible, to help where they can in a world that needs so much help.
CHILDREN WELL-BEING
Give a child a gift of development together for humanity. Children experience poverty differently from adults and “poverty”
is not just lack of money. Children in particular are bearing the brunt of poverty and hardship, one in four children
experiences deprivations that could impact their development and well-being. Poverty reduction begins with children
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY OR SPECIAL NEEDS
Disability is defined as an impairment that limits a major life function such as seeing, hearing, walking, performing
schoolwork, carrying objects, or working at a job. Some disabilities are a result of disease, trauma, or advancing age, while
others are present at birth. Disabilities are part of the human experience. People with disabilities make up about 20 percent of
the population in every nation. Disabilities require us to consider the frailty and dignity of human life.
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
We believes that working towards gender equality and women's empowerment in developing countries is a key to creating
an environment through positive economic and social policies for full development of women to enable them to realize their
full potential.
HUMAN RIGHT
Equality for all: giving them back some of the choices that they lost along the way. Our organization is committed to a
development process that promotes equality. Rights and dignity for all: believes in and strives to uphold the rights and
dignity of all people especially the in need in our society.
YOUTH ENPOWERMENT EDUCATION
Improved Health: With education, people are better prepared to prevent disease and to use health services effectively. For
example, young people who have completed primary education are less than half as likely to contract HIV as those with little
or no schooling. Educated mothers have healthier children.
OUR FOCUS
To Partner worldwide, walks alongside with business leaders who have a good hearts for the vulnerable groups and a passion
for a world without poverty. Every human life is worth the same, and worth saving.

FINANCIAL HEALTH AND INTEGRITY
The organisation mainly depends on its members support for finance and institutions social responsibility programs. The
organisation lacks a donation centre, which will make it easy to receive the various donations it gets from well wishers, so
individuals have to go to collect donated items from donor institutions. The organisation lacks transport that is the
organization has no vehicles for day to day activities.
BACKGROUND, CONTEXT, PURPOSE
The Republic of Zambia has 1,883 health facilities, which consists of 6 specialized hospitals, 21 general hospitals, 85 district
hospitals, 1,495 Urban and Rural Health Centers (Central Statistical Office, 2012), where the University Teaching Hospital
(UTH) is the largest referral centre in the nation. The UTH is located in Lusaka the capital city of Zambia. The UTH has a
mother’s shelter; this facility provides shelter to mothers who are nursing their children. The cost of living in Lusaka for the
month of January, 2016 was recorded at K4, 201.04 which was higher than other parts of the nation, generally the cost of
living in Lusaka is higher than other parts of the nation(JCTR, 2016), this means that individuals that are transferred to
Lusaka for medical treatment are also exposed to higher prices of commodities than their place of residence. Some of the
increased costs that patients and their families are likely to be exposed to are:
I. Lodging costs for relatives nursing patients
II. Transport costs for relatives to and from the hospital if they have a lodging place in Lusaka
III. Food costs for both relatives and patients
If patients referred to UTH do not have relatives in Lusaka then the people nursing them will have no place to lodge, freshen
up when they are not on duty or bedside of the patient, which may lead to, overcrowding in UTH wards. If patients have
relatives in Lusaka, then the people nursing will have to incur transportation costs to and fro the hospital. Living in Lusaka is
generally more expensive than most parts of the country, so people referred to Lusaka are subjected to high costs of food than
they usually buy from the places they live. This project when implemented will address or try to reduce financial costs
incurred by patients who are referred to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) for specialised treatment, so that the extra
money may be used specifically for treatment of the patients, for example, buying of medicines.
DESIRED OUTCOMES
The main purpose for this shelter is to try to reduce the costs incurred by patients in the low cost section of the hospital, for
example patients requiring physiotherapy can be accommodated at the shelter when they come for their doctor’s visit thus
removing lodging costs and transportation costs to and from the hospital during the period of their visit.
SUSTAIN OUR PROJECT
As an organization, we turn to sustain our project through social change, advocacy change and policy change .The impact of
policy change efforts is change in the structural and normative context of communities and institutions, this will help us
target changes in policy arena, including both policy developments of our project and implementation, advocacy will help us
achieve social change.

PROJECT LOCATION OF ACTIVITIVES
Project location of activities: University Teaching Hospital (UTH) and other health center in Lusaka district
THE BIBLE ABOUT POOR PEOPLE
A large portion of the Bible is dedicated to talking about God's heart for the poor. Speak up for those who cannot speak for
themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Proverbs 31:8-9 1 John 3:18 2 Cor. 8:9 Proverbs 14:31
Deuteronomy 15:11
Like a good king, the Lord is concerned with his poor subjects. We see that His heart goes deeper still: he identifies with the
poor; he puts himself in their place. Hope is voices of activism see feel and act. Extend a Hand, Enrich a Life.
FUTURE OBJECTIVES
Medical provision program to support HIV/Aids registered clients. The Medical Program will focus on maintaining
support for HIV/AIDS clients in need of doctoral or medicinal care. Our future goals are to provide personal assistance by
covering pharmaceutical fees and offer encouragement for clients to start taking ART (anti-retroviral treatment).
Future objectives will be concentrating on coordination with the government’s hospitals to ensure that registered clients will
receive necessary care. Hope for human nature generation intends to extend to other hospitals in Zambia and to have a
home-based care place.
PROBLEMS AND CHALLENGES FACED BY PATIENTS
Mostly the most vulnerable patients referred to the general hospitals e.g. university teaching hospital suffer a lot in terms of
health care, no relative support, social basics needs such us money to manage their expenses whilst admitted in hospitals ,
transport back home and other needs.
Some poor relative end up leaving their patients in the hospital to go and do piece works, Some abandon their patients
due to the patients need and others starts drinking beer, smoking because of their continuous problems in hospitals.
OUR CHALLENGES
We don’t have enough sources to implement our project due to the number of problems we face e.g. funds, and too
many people are not getting the care they need to stay healthy and independent at home, particularly most vulnerable people.
We need some radical improvements to make sure that the most vulnerable have the support they need to keep them in
better health and inside the hospital. Too often these people end up in hospital not by design, but simply because they can’t
get the care they need elsewhere. HOW TO VOLUNTEER
Volunteering is a great way to advance a cause, support an organization, and make a difference in our community. It can also
be an opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills. If you'd like to give something besides money, consider lending your
time and talents to HHNG that are important to you. Saving the Children and volunteers are a crucial part of our
organization. Working as one team, we combine skills and experience to create positive change for children.

CHILDREN ARE SPECIAL IN THEIR WAYS
It is the truth to say that children are our future and if that is true, more time and energy should be put into the beginning
stages of each child’s life. There are things that can and should be done to help each child live a life that is productive and
beneficial to those that they will interact with in their future.

GLOBAL HUMAN QUOTES
Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you. If you have
much, give what you can; if you have little, give of your heart and your time. ~Arabian Proverb

EXPLORE YOUR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The link between poverty and poor health does not go in just one direction. Poor health is a contributing factor to low
incomes and poverty. People with chronic medical conditions frequently are poor because they cannot work, and people who
suffer a sudden decline in health often become poor after losing their job.
Moreover, people with chronic illness often have difficulty accessing medical care because they are not good advocates for
themselves and too few medical providers are nearby, and they then remain poor because they cannot work.
PREPARE ACHILD FOR A STRONG FUTURE
We believe that children are priceless treasures and gifts from God, and as such, it is our conviction that the physical,
emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of children should be competently met. We consider the care of the little ones
God entrusts into our care to be a very important responsibility
POVERTY REDUCTION
Lend today and give a student in the developing world the education they need to graduate beyond poverty.Education – the
vital link…Perhaps the most damaging arena from which the disabled are excluded is that of education. Education is
the primary vehicle by which economically and socially disadvantaged populations can lift themselves out of poverty.

We believe that every child has the right
The Project also aims at solving the problems hidden by the fact that orphans and vulnerable children are invisible; yet by the
very nature of their situation, they are included among those that are classified as disadvantaged and Children are subsumed
within the poverty categories most often referred to such as households, communities, people which means that there is a
high tendency to focus on adult-related poverty while child problems are ignored, partly because children have little power
and influence within a group that contains adults.
