through the Middle Ages

•Writing intensive course. We write sentences, paragraphs, essays, and full papers.

• Big Project: Oral History•Interview somebody 2 generations older

•~6 weeks to complete (Thanksgiving to New Years)

Use living organisms to learn about the 5 Kingdoms Characteristics of Life

Note: Curriculum is more challenging than prior years. Therefore,students should plan to spend more time completing labs and preparing for tests.

• Stream day is part of the science curriculum

• All seventh grade teams participate on separate days.

• It is an all day hands on activity.• You will not be going to any other classes.• You will be eating a bag lunch either

outside or in the Panthers classrooms.• The day is a great learning experience!

What activities are involved?

• There are 6 stations along or near the creek. At some stations students will be going into the creek to collect data. That data will include creek water chemistry, water flow rates, and what organisms live in the creek.
