Once upon a time ina far away kingdom there lived a princess named Chumbalina.

Chumbalina was not likethe other princesses.

she did not care for looking beautiful; nor did she want to fall in love with a handsome prince and live happily ever after.

she was differentand embraced her individuality. Unfortunately, for Chumbalina, no one else did.

“You’re eating again, Chumby? How willyou ever meet a charming prince looking like that?” the queen nagged.

Chumbalina tuned out her mother and took another taste.

What set Chumbalinaapart from the other princesses was that she loved to EAT!

Food never made fun of her.

Food never judged her.

Food was her one, true friend.

Chumbalina fancied foods of all flavors and thatcaused a BIg problem.

she was a FAT princess and being BIg foiled her wherever she went.

When it was time to participate inproper princess practices, like finding the perfect dress, every gown she tried on burst at the seams.

The queen was so embarrassed, but Chumbalina thought she looked quite stylish.

Although she loved toboogey, not a single prince at the ball dared to dance with her out of fear she would step on his feet.

The other princesses giggled and gossiped, but Chumbalina grooved on anyway.

Even the king, who loved his preciousdaughter, began to worry. “Chumbalina, I have decided to rid my kingdom of all sweets. From now on, you will only eat vegetables until you lose weight. I am doing this for your own good. One day you will thank me.”

Chumbalina felt heartbroken. she never knew how badly she disappointed her daddy.

Later that night, Chumbalina secretly kissedher parents goodbye and placed the farewell letter at the foot of their bed. she snuck out of the castle and ran off to live in gumdrop Forest where she could be herself and eat whatever she wanted.

The next morning herparents were awoken by a loud BOOM! The drawbridge exploded as a gigantic giant crashed through the castle’s defenses.

“Fe. Fi. Fo. Fum. I’mhungry for my nummy, num, num!” the giant’s voice echoed throughout the kingdom.

A humongous handreached into the royal bedroom and scooped up the king in one fell swoop.

“My tummy is grumbly!” growled the giant.

Meanwhile, in thegumdrop Forest, Chumbalina gorged on gooey gummy bears, chomped on chocolate covered caramels, and helped herself to all things sweet and savory.

she feasted for whatfelt like an eternity, but no matter how much she indulged, she was unable to feel full. Chumbalina began to realize that the emptiness in her stomach couldn’t be satisfied by sweets.

she was lonely. she was feeling hungry for home.

“I miss home but I justwish they would let me be myself,” Chumbalina confessed to her new fudge-filled friends.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the cries for help coming from the kingdom. “That sounds like my daddy and he’s in danger!”

Without hesitation, Chumbalina dashed back to the castle.

The giant closed his eyes and startedto chow down on the vile vegetables.

Chumbalina was a bit of a slow starter. she picked up a carrot and gave it a tiny nibble. Then another and another, until the carrot disappeared.

“These carrots taste as sweet as candy!” Chumbalina cried out. The crowd erupted with an encouraging cheer.

The giant choked down vegetableafter vegetable but he began to turn green.

Chumbalina continued crunching on celery and munching on mushrooms, determined to topple the towering terror.

Her proud parents looked on knowing their daring daughter would not be defeated.
