Dayton Performing Arts Alliance; Schuster Performing Arts Center, Second & Main sts.; 3 p.m. The Dayton Philharmonic presents its
annual legendary PhilharMonster
Halloween Concert, setting the spooky
stage for Halloween and getting the mood
just right for celebrating the autumn
season. Maestro Gittleman and the DPO
have planned an afternoon full of fantastic
musical selections to get us all in the
Halloween spirit. The concert will end this
year with a very special surprise. As is the
costume custom, everyone is encouraged to
show up dressed in their Halloween finest.
Even the orchestra members will be getting
into the costume groove! There will be a
costume parade before the performance,
and during the show, the audience will
have the chance to vote on the best

October 19 - Masquerage
The 804 Building, 804 E. Monument Ave. Masquerage is Equitas Health's annual "Party
of Parties for a Cause." Since Masquerage's
inception in 2002, this masked extravaganza
has become the fastest growing, must-be-
seen-at event in Dayton, bringing hundreds
of people together for a magnificent evening
of music, dancing, and decadence.
Masquerage is a fundraiser for the life-saving
work of Equitas Health. This year's
Masquerage theme is "Push Play." Mask
required. This year's event will be held
indoors, but toilets, smoking area, and
general admission check in will be outside.

The Contemporary Dayton, 118 N. Jefferson St.; call for times. Lyrical, calligraphic abstractions on paper by
emerging artists Jack St. John, Cleveland;
Diana Behl, Brookings, SD; and Nishiki
Sugawara-Beda, Dallas, TX. Free.
Thru October 27 - Decision Height
Dayton Theatre Guild, 430 Wayne Ave.; call for times. Decision Height tells the story of six
Women's Air Force Service Pilots (called
WASPS) who flew aircraft during World
War II. While they didn't see combat, these
ladies were responsible for transporting
planes and pulling targets for live
ammunition training, freeing the men for
active duty after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The WASPS proved an important asset for
the military, but have been largely forgotten
in the history books. This play was the
winner of the 2013 Kennedy Center
American College Theatre Festival.
Thru March 31 - Tour de Way
