To burn the calories used, student’s physical activity is boosted. 30 minutes of regular exercise in gym , yoga , skating etc. is encouraged.

From the data collected we found the homemakers say that their kids prefer fast food over home cooked food.The parents also opt for branded packaged food as it is convenient.

•Another reason found was that these students live in a nuclear family setup .Most of their mothers are career oriented hence readymade food items are preferred.

From the statistical data collected we have understood the younger students in the school are more in number in overweight as well as in obese compared to the elder students.

As a value addition the school has also purchased an electronic digital weighing scale

•In the parents meeting dietician have been invited to speak about the importance of having balanced food for their children

In due course we have decided to reduce the obese students in the primary level by maintaining the chart to check their weight.
