- Now passing 3,981 homes (mostly City Centre)

- 1,185 tons of paper collected (2003/04)

- Now averaging 8.5 tons per week

- Annual Collection Cost = £72k

Less Recycling Credits & Product Income = £65k

Net Collection Cost Per Tonne = £16

GREEN BOX COLLECTION- 40,700 Green Boxes Distributed

- Collect: Paper, Card, Glass

- Average Participation Rate of 70%

- 4,379 tonnes of recycling collected (2003/04)

- Annual Collection Cost = £420k

Less Recycling Credits & Product Income = £222k

Net Collection Cost Per Tonne = £45

- 112 x 1100 litre & 215 x 240 litre bins now installed

- 6,697 flats & difficult access areas covered

(new technology not fully marketed yet)
