• Electricity 74%

• Natural gas 15%

• Water/sewer 11%.

In Comparison….

Current NCC Recycling

Residents Halls

• Jeff Kapcscos announced new recycling bins

were donated.

appliances

● Biodiesel Energy for Cars used around

Campus

● Transition to “Smart Power Strips”

Insulation

Empty Ceiling space

Loss of heat/AC

Insulation will strengthen envelope

Helps cut costs in all weather

Moves us closer to %20 energy reduction goal

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

“An integrated, holistic approach to building design; one that yields the most

energy efficient, comfortable, healthy, and ecologically responsible facility.”

Photovoltaic Panels Over Parking

Implemented locally

Capitalize on parking space space

Cut costs in multiple areas

Window Coating

Clear, durable, effective

Rejects UV rays

Can Block 60% of incoming heat

Significantly reduces cooling costs

Automated AC control

• Automatic temp. control

• Room by Room

• More efficient

• More Responsive

• Sustainable

Cogeneration

Combines multiple systems into one

Used to create both heat and electricity

Increases efficiency and reduces consumption

Helps reduce maintenance costs
