Plans for the Second Annual Enrichment Series Weekend Are Being Made!
JanuaryJanuary
C S S C S E U !
The date of the 2016 Enrichment series has been set for Friday, February 26, through Sunday February 28. Our leader will be Rev. Dr. Patrick Johnson (M.Div, Ph.D.) pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Asheville, North Carolina, and ad-junct professor of Homiletics at Princeton Theological Seminary. A quote from his blog might help us prepare for the won-derful opportunity to be with him for a few days, "My prayer is to see the church become a living parable of the kingdom of God, demonstrating the love and grace of Jesus Christ to the world through words and deeds in everyday life. My goal, by God's grace, to help create that kind of church."
The second speaker/teacher/entertainer will be Curt Cloninger, who was at our church several years ago when his presenta-tion centered around the theme "God Views." Curt's website shares that, "He uses his comic and dramatic skills to present a story which moves an audience to see and feel God's startling good news in fresh and creative ways."
We will keep you informed as the process unfolds, but for now "save the date" and look forward to a FPCQ weekend of fun, fellowship, food and faith!

The robes will be blessed in worship on January 3rd and delivered that afternoon. As we begin a new year we begin a new project. We will be making caps and prayer shawls to give others. This project requires soft yarn. If you have any to share please bring on

The holidays have been a bit crazy this year but we are ready to move into the New Year!
January doesn’t offer a whole lot of rest but does have some exciting activities going on.
College Montreat Conference will be January 2-5. We are looking forward to spending time at Montreat with some of our college students.
Terrific Tuesday will resume on Tuesday, January 12th.
On January 9th we will hold our annual Capture the Flag game. We will enjoy this area church wide activity with our sister churches in Tallahassee.
On January 14th, the Route 456 group will be going to Sky Zone in Tallahassee. I will pick up after school and drive the group to Tally to enjoy the trampolines. The cost for the afternoon is $15.
At the end of the month I will be attending the APCE conference in Chicago, IL. The Youth will be doing the youth service the following Sunday, February 7th in conjunction with Souper Bowl Sunday. We will also be collect-ing, for the Food Bank, cans of food or $1 as everyone leaves the sanctuary that day.
Get ready for a fun and exciting New Year!
