Broadband is a foundation for economic growth, job creation,

Household Survey Highlights Nebraska households with Internet access at home
increased from 81% in 2010 to 86% this year
Households with broadband Internet service increased from 76% to 82%
Broadband Service by Demographic Factors and Region, 2010 and 2014

Access to Public Use Facilities 77% have access to a public use facility 32% of households without Internet at home use
the computer resources at these facilities Asians/Pacific Islanders (54%) and American
Indians/Alaska Natives (56%) use these computer resources

Strengthening Nebraska Businesses Benchmarking Data - Establish initial benchmarks and
measure impact Providing Resources to Businesses – Help businesses
understand how to use broadband to increase economic viability
Building Capacity - Business coaches work with businesses and communities to better utilize broadband
Broadband is Having Positive Impact Businesses reported having a positive impact on
jobs with 364 respondents reporting a net increase of 654 jobs.
Broadband use by businesses typically increased revenue 24-45%
Nebraskans are Using Broadband 89% Households purchase products 72% Businesses advertise online 62% Businesses sell products 97% Households search for information 76% Businesses provide customer service online
