MY PARENTS

• Chinese parents value education.

• They want their only child to receive the best education they can afford.

• Pass on values like moderation, healthy eating, love and respect towards senior family members

MY CHALLENGES IN AMERICA

• Transportation

Unfriendly public transportation system

• Language barrier (slang)

• Food

Miss home cooked Chinese food

WHAT I ENJOY ABOUT LIFE IN AMERICA

• Make friends, have fun instead of spending all weekends at libraries

• Stay away from parental and peer pressure

• Being an independent thinker and learning new things all the time, including this internship at FIS

• Less expense on clothing due to the availability of outlets malls and discounted name brands
