Think Leadership 2012

•It is YOUR responsibility to put yourself in the right place… companies used to take responsibility for this in return for your life long loyalty and as compensation for doing a job that was not fulfilling.

Think Leadership 2012

Know Yourself:

• The Types of work you like to do

• The activities that give you the most satisfaction

• The environments in which you prefer to work

• The sorts of people you like to work with

• The abilities you possess that you’d like to develop

Ask 5 or 6 friends these questions:

(I hope you have that many friends!)

• What four words best describe me?

• If your best friend asked you to tell her more about me, what would you say?

• What appears to motivate me?

• What would be the ideal job for me?

• What seems to make me most fulfilled and excited?

• What work should I stay away from, and why?

• What about myself do I have trouble seeing?

• What aspects of myself do I need to change to be more successful?

• What aspects of myself should I not change?

Collect the responses and

look for common themes.

“Most people think they know what they are good at. They

are usually wrong. More often, people know what they are not good at – and even then, more people are wrong than right.” –
