The trailpasses some huge pine trees, and interpretive signs describe the area. Dogs are welcome.

From the South: Take the Northway to Exit 23. Turn left and then right onto US9. Go through Warrensburg, past the intersection with NYS 28.The entrance to Pack Forest will be 1/4 mile after this intersection on the left. Follow the entrance road and bear to the right to the parking area. There are no parking fees.

Pack Forest contains many other recreational opportunities, includingpaddling, fishing, picknicking and a variety of hiking trails. The Grandmother Tree Trail, a one mile walking trail with interpretive signs through an old growth forest containing on of New York's historic trees, is just south of the bike loop.
