• The Project in practice:• Implementation of environmental efforts of
four new LNG-fueled container vessels –Containerships Oy
• Development of port infrastructure –removing bottlenecks of inefficiency and investing in cargo handling capacity and infrastructure – RST, PD Ports, Multi-Link Terminals Ltd

are operational in Europe• One vessel to be delivered from China Dec
2019• In addition Containerships have ordered two
additional LNG-fuelled vessels (outside the project)

• Crane & infra investments within PD Ports (Teesport):• Crane investments done• Gate upgrade done• Transparency pilot to be finalised end 2019

Shipyard
• River Pearl flooded heavily in the dock of Shipyard
• Shipyard missed to screw in the bottom plugs of the vessel and to close the ICCP openings during those days.• Vessel was in the “dry dock”
• Water flooded into second vessel cargo hold & engine room with 2,5 meters => delay caused for the vessels to be delivered
• For next vessels: Main engine, shaft generator, gear box & other equipment in the dock / warehouse => water flooded there as well
• Chain reaction: Only one vessel can be equipped at time: Second delayed -> third vessel delayed -> fourth vessel delayed
• Inspection of damage done, drying the equipment, ordering new equipment…many months

DOOR2LNG –project – experiences
• Get commitment from each project partner before sending the application to INEA (memorandum of understanding etc.)
• Have frequent monthly project meetings & minutes of those Skype / physical meetings
• Ensure full time resource for project administration (either internal or external)
• Pay attention to clear & simple language in reports and forget business specific jargon
• In case of changes in Actions, inform / consult your INEA Project Manager before sending official Amendment Request
