Our History..Misty Cove was founded by Andrew Bailey, an eccentric, hard case, Southerner, who much like his wine, has matured into a man who loves life, great times, and most of all viticulture. Spending his summers growing up in Marlborough has fostered a passion for the Misty Coves of the Marlborough sounds. So much so, that he calls this wondrous world home for both himself and his winery.

Misty Cove doesn’t get overly caught up in the ‘faint hint of autumn leaves’ and ‘delicate plum overtures’ or even ‘crisp winter grasses”. We prefer to focus on producing great wine that for optimum enjoyment should be shared with a group of likeminded mates.
