The Melton Town Centre is being transformed to create an attractive, vibrant accessible and safe space for people. The proposed redevelopment will provide opportunities for engagement and activation of the public realm through the creation of spaces for both passive and social activities as well as organised events.
The reinvigorated town centre will assist in attracting visitors and stimulation of local businesses.
The City of Melton would like to acknowledge the contribution made by the Australian Government’s National Stronger Regions Fund and the Victorian Government’s, Interface Growth Fund towards the Melton Town Centre Redevelopment.

STAGE 2
Stage 2 Construction Boundary
Over the past 3 years Melton City council have undertaken 3 rounds of community engagement capturing feedback from the community and traders to incorporate into the development of a master plan.
Documentation plans were then prepared by specialised external consultants such as landscape architects, engineers, signage and lighting specialists to define details of elements, the cost and how to construct the works.
Stage 2 was then advertised for contractors to be shortlisted by demonstrating their relevant experience and ability. The contractors that passed this evaluation were then asked to submit prices to be assessed by a panel and then interviewed.
This process has now lead us to the commencement of construction which is anticipated from May 2016 and open for operation by December 2016.Stage 2 Extent of Construction Works
