Exercise 8 Record Announcements
To record announcements, you must have a COS that has ConsolePermissions enabled. Verify your COS features. If you do not haveConsole Permissions enabled, consider creating a new COS for yourstation. This prevents unauthorized users from recording announcements.
To record announcements:
1. Dial the Announcement Access FAC
2. Dial the announcement extension number
3. When you hear the dial tone, dial 1 to begin recording
4. Dial # to end the recording
5. Dial 2 to listen to the recordingNote: To delete a recording, dial 3
Using the instructions above and the sample recorded announcements,record the various greetings for Meet-me conferencing.

Exercise 10 - Create a Meet-me Conference VectorDirectory Number (VDN)
A VDN is an extension number used to access a call vector. Each VDN ismapped to one call vector. VDN stores the Meet-me conferenceparameters. The first parameter is the Conference Access Code. If anaccess code is assigned, each user dialing in to the conference call mustenter the correct access code to be added to the call. The secondparameter is the Conference Controller. The Conference Controllercontrols which user is allowed to change the access code for a Meet-meConference VDN using the feature access code. The Meet-me conferenceparameters appear on the Vector Directory Numberform.
Follow the steps below to create a Meet-me Conference Vector Directory
Number.
1. To view the Vector Directory Numberform, type add vdn 5000.
Press Enter.
2. Follow the chart below to complete the Vector Directory Numberform.
