This is a fade in and out editing feature. The fact that you cant see enhances the mystery and suspense of the film.

This is an extreme close up of the blood which indicates that it is a thriller genre.

This is a setting feature. The white indicates the bleakness of the film and this is an unknown location so nobody knows anything about the place.

As there are black and white colours it shows how they are muted colours which shows it is a very isolated and sparse location

This over the shoulder shot gives the film a sense of mystery to it.

It also makes us question what is reality and what isn’t reality? Because of the reflection in the mirror.
