Maui  Tours      Maui  tours  offer  perhaps  the  very  best  way  to  see  and  experience  the  island  known  as  the  “Magic  Isle.”  Sightseeing  tours  can  put  you  in  touch  with  dozens  of  famous  landmarks,  while  air  tours  can  give  you  a  radically  different  perspective  compared  to  what  most  people  have  ever  achieved.  And,  of  course,  there  are  Maui’s  limitless  ocean  activities,  which  are  great  for  both  burning  off  calories  and  getting  face-‐to-‐face  with  nature.    Your  choice  of  Maui  tours  should  begin  at  Mt.  Haleakala.  This  amazing  site  rises  to  an  altitude  of  over  10,000  ft.  above  sea  level—that’s  almost  two  miles!  While  you’re  in  Haleakala  National  Park,  you  can  discover  its  lush  and  expansive  grounds  by  foot,  wheel,  or  horseback.  There  are  miles  of  trails  that  offer  both  peace  and  tremendous  sightseeing.  At  the  same  time,  for  quite  a  different  option,  consider  an  air  tour.  Many  of  the  helicopter  tours  on  Maui  will  fly  you  over  this  monstrous  mountain  peak,  and  save  you  a  lot  of  time.  Plus,  the  views  from  above  are  second-‐to-‐none!    Another  top-‐notch  sightseeing  tour  that  you  can  choose  takes  you  out  to  the  Pools  of  Oheo.  These  natural  tiered  pools  and  waterfalls  are  located  in  Oheo  Gulch,  not  far  from  the  historic  town  of  Hana.  There  are  plenty  of  hiking  trails  here,  too,  including  the  famous  Pipiwai  Trail,  which  is  a  route  that  demands  at  least  three  hours,  but  promises  an  extraordinary  glance  at  Waimoku  Falls!    Whale  watching  is  another  sightseeing  tour  option  that  will  keep  you  on  your  own  two  feet,  yet  without  the  stresses  and  the  strains  of  a  multiple-‐mile  hike.  The  best  place  to  gain  this  experience  is  at  Lahaina,  a  whaling  village  that  prospered  during  the  19th  century.    Take  a  boat  or  raft  out  into  the  ocean  for  a  few  hours,  and  return  having  gotten  within  a  football  field  of  humpback  whales!  While  competition  for  the  honor  is  tough,  there  may  not  be  a  better  Oahu  tour  than  this  one.    Earlier  we  mentioned  that  air  tours  to  Mt.  Haleakala  were  popular  and  plentiful.  But  there  are  a  number  of  other  places  to  see  while  on  a  helicopter  tour.  From  hundreds  of  feet  in  the  air,  you’ll  look  down  on  diverse  sites  such  as  the  West  Maui  Mountains  and  the  Iao  Valley.      Additionally,  unlike  most  Maui  tours  that  are  restricted  to  the  Magic  Isle,  air  tours  can  take  you  to  two  of  the  neighboring  islands!  Cross  the  Pailolo  Channel,  and  in  a  matter  of  minutes,  you’ll  be  at  the  sea  cliffs  and  waterfalls  on  the  Isle  of  Molokai.  Or  cross  over  the  Alenuihaha  Channel,  and  discover  the  Big  Island’s  Kohala  Mountains.  The  options  are  borderline  infinite!    If  these  traditional  Maui  tours  aren’t  enough  for  you,  don’t  worry.  There  are  still  plenty  of  other  ways  to  appreciate  the  work  of  Mother  Nature  on  this  fantasy  island.  One  choice  that’s  as  obvious  as  they  come  is  to  participate  in  one  of  Maui’s  many  ocean  activities.  Kaanapali  Beach  is  legendary  for  its  snorkeling,  and  you’ll  also  find  there  a  whalers  village  and  daily  cliff  diving  ceremony  off  of  Black  Rock.

Then,  of  course,  there’s  the  Isle  of  Molokini,  which  is  world-‐renowned  for  snorkeling  and  scuba  diving  alike.  If  you  want  to  get  a  long  look  at  some  of  the  most  exotic  creatures  in  all  of  nature,  come  explore  Molokini’s  crystal  clear  waters.  The  sunken  crater  is  home  to  Achilles  tang,  four  spot  butterfly  fish,  parrot  fish,  and  Picasso  and  Reef  Triggerfish,  not  to  mention  dolphins,  rays,  and  turtles.  It’s  a  sightseer’s  delight!    One  final  and  no  less  amazing  options  for  Maui  tours  is  to  take  a  surfing  lesson.  There  are  lots  of  gentle  waves  off  the  island’s  coastline,  especially  at  the  beaches  of  Lahaina  and  Kihei.  Typically,  you’re  looking  at  one  or  two  hours  of  fun  in  the  sun  and  surf,  with  an  expert  instructor  to  show  you  how  to  paddle  into  the  ocean,  catch  a  wave,  and  pop  up  on  your  board.  There  might  be  no  ocean  activity  as  exhilarating  or  challenging  as  surfing  is.    As  we  hope  we’ve  made  clear,  Maui  tours  provide  efficient  ways  to  discover  an  island  like  none  other.  Whether  you  want  to  spend  some  time  with  nature,  fly  above  a  volcano  on  a  helicopter  tour,  or  participate  in  any  number  of  ocean  activities,  there  are  plenty  of  Maui  tours  that  are  perfect  for  you!    For  more  informations,  visit,  www.tours-‐maui.us
