5 Opening Thoughts 1. The objective of leadership is not to become merely

successful. The objective of business is for your organization to grow to it’s maximum potential.

2. Management can help you become successful but it will take leadership to get to your maximum potential. Leadership makes up the difference between success and potential.

5 Opening Thoughts 3. Leadership is developed, not discovered. Most aspects

of leadership can be learned. A balance of management and leadership skills is important, but leadership must come first because it deals with vision and direction.

4. The law of attraction states that leaders attract who they are not who they want. The more highly developed a leader, the more highly developed leaders they’ll be able to attract.

5 Opening Thoughts 5. Leaders make it an ongoing discipline of growing

personally. When they stop growing, they plateau and so do their people and their organization.

QUESTION Why do leaders

fail?
