Mary, Queen of Scots.

When Mary became queenMary was born in 1542 in Linlithgow Palace. Her dad died when she was 6 days old, so Mary became queen at a very young age. But now her dad had died, she had no one to protect her. So her mum thought she would be safer in France, and that’s where her mum sent her. She met her first husband, the prince, who was called Francis. When they got married, Mary also became queen of France. When Francis died of an ear infection, Mary went back to Scotland. But the Scots did not like her that much anymore, so they tried to kill her. Mary was scared and she went to England to get protection. Mary was related to the English royal family too. Her cousin Elizabeth, the queen of England, did not like Mary so she sent Mary to prison. Elizabeth thought Mary was planning to kill her, which she was not. Elizabeth sent men down to cut Mary’s head off, so Mary died at 44 years old.
