Maribyrnong Community Centre Update Newsletter #6
30 April 2020
Hello from MNCC staff
We’re starting to hear some positive news about the spread of COVID-19 slowing, however we need to continue to be mindful of restrictions and social distancing requirements until advised otherwise by Federal and State Governments.
We are collecting stories and photos which will be organised into a keepsake document. How have you spent your time during this period? Gardening, learning a new skill, or cooking? Please let us know by emailing details and photos to us at maricomm@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au.
Although our doors are closed at the moment, we’re here Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm if you’d like to chat. We would love to hear from you!
Keep well and stay safe.

Did you know?
Mother’s Day in Australia started in 1924 when Sydney woman Janet Heyden became concerned for lonely, forgotten aged mothers after the end of World War I. She successfully campaigned for local schools and businesses to donate gifts to the ladies.
We will celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday 10 May, 2020. Colour in the picture and cut out for your mum.
