Hamilton Ridge Elementary, opening 2020

● In preparation for the opening of Hamilton Ridge in 2020, PLSAS will be changing K-5 attendance boundaries

● We are setting the boundaries to where our capacity will be● We have the capacity to handle growth now and into the future

La ola del lago at Grainwood Elementary

La ola del lago Spanish immersion school will be a District K-5 school, located at Grainwood Elementary, beginning in the fall of 2020.

Edgewood School

Edgewood School will continue to be home to:

● Circle of Friends Preschool

● Early Childhood Family Education

● Early Childhood Screening

● Early Childhood Special Education

In-District Transfer (IDT) Requests

● 2019/20 SY District IDT protocol is unchanged from this current year

● 2020/21 SY District IDT protocol has not been finalized

● Note: Preliminary Options factor IDT students in home attendance areas

Open-Enrolled Students

● No decisions have been made regarding open enrollment placements for 2020/21

● We have a legal obligation to offer open enrollment where space is available

● We monitor open enrollment very closely● Open enrollment helps us manage building

capacity● Note: Open-enrolled students were not part

of Options modeling

K-5 Start Times

While we will maintain similar K-5 school

start times, specific elementary school

start-times for 2020/21 will be reviewed in

an effort to gain efficiencies with

transportation.
