HolidayrequestsThistimeoftheyearwearereceivingmanyrequestsforholidays.Wewillnotbeauthorisinganyholidayrequeststhataresubmitted.Itisgovernmentguidanceandschoolpolicytoensurethatallchildrenhaveagoodlevelofattendancethroughouttheschoolyear.Iftheyarenotinschoolthiscanimpactprogressandlearningresultinginthechildrenfallingbehindtheirpeersacademically.

ChristmasFeteTherewasafabulousturnoutattheChristmasFeteonMonday.ThechildrenallproducedandmadesomelovelyChristmasthingsfortheparents.Thechildrenhadgreatfundoingthisoverthepastfewweeksandtheparentalsupportinturninguptosupporttheschoolwaswonderfultosee.Hopefullywewillbecontinuingwitheventslikethistobuildupthealreadyfantasticcommunityfeelingintheschool.Welldoneandthankyoutoeveryoneinvolved,particularlythoseparentsintheParentsvoicewhosupportedthroughthis(MrsFinchandMrsBeldzik).

ChristmasHolidaysThistermtherehasbeensomefantasticlearningtakingplaceallovertheschool.ThenewAcornsintheschoolhavebeenabsolutelyfantasticthistermandtheyhavebeendoingsomegreatlearning.WelldonetoalltheAcornchildrenforsettlinginsowellandmakingfantasticprogressoverthepastfewmonths.Otheryeargroupshavebeendoingfantasticallywellalso,showingtheMapleGrovevaluesintheschoolandshowingthattheyarebeingassessmentproficientlearners.WehavealsohadbuildingworktakingplaceandtheprogrammeofredecorationinKS1isprogressingwell.WehopetobuildonthesuccessesthathavetakenplaceoverthistermintheSpringtermandwelookforwardtoyourcontinuedsupportindrivingupstandardsandoutcomesintheschool.Weallhopethatyouhavearestful,funandenjoyableChristmaswhetheryouarestayingnearorfarandwelookforwardtowelcomingyouallbackintheSpringterm.

ChristmasDiscoThisweeksawthechildrenhavingagreattimesinginganddancingattheChristmasdisco.Therewassomefantasticdancemovestobeseen(byboththechildrenandtheteachers).Itwasgreattoseeallthechildrenhavingafuntimeatthediscoand‘lettingoffsomesteam’becausetheyhaveallbeenworkingreallyhardoverthepastterm.ThenextdiscowillbeatEasterandwehopethatwewillhavejustasgoodaturnoutthen.

KS2ChristmasConcertWell done Year 3,4,5,6 for putting on a fantasticproductionfortheparentsintheCarolconcert.Thechildren did really well singing their songsconfidentlyandsingingtogetherasaschool.Allthechildrendidreally,reallywellduringthisanditwasreally nice to hear the children. They also did areally good job showing their fantastic behaviourduringtheconcert.Thesongswereagreatmixtureof modern and traditional and has served reallywelltogeteveryoneintotheChristmasspiritreadyfortheholidays.

ChristmasJumperdayTherewasafantasticeffortbyallthestaffandthechildrenwearingtheirbestChristmas jumpersandoutfits,someevenlightingup!Thosechildrenwhomadetheirbesthomemadejumperswerechosento come and collect a Christmas prize for theirfantastic effort. All the proceeds from this go toSavetheChildrenandaredonatedtochildrenwhoare in need, so thank you to everyone for theirsupportduringthisovertheChristmasperiod.
