A Young University with Challenging Targets

Mugla University was established in 1992 as a state university. The first academic year was 1993 with two faculties and one vocational

school. Then, Muğla University had only 1,128 students in one department and three programmes.

Today, the young but rapidly developing Mugla University has 10 faculties,

3 graduate schools, 5 schools, 10 vocational schools, and 13 research and application centres.

Total indoors area of the facilities reach 254,000 square meters. The 2,000,000 square meters scenic campus encircled by a spectacular

mountain view, along with other centres and schools spread across the city and the region, now services over 25,000 students with more than 950 academic personnel and nearly 700 administrative personnel.

One academic year divides into two 14-week semesters excluding the final examination

education in Turkey. Applications for the first year of undergraduate programmes are made through the Students Selection and Placement Centre.

International Student Applications are directly evaluated by the University.
