This Is The End (rated R) reunites many of the usual Judd Apatow actors in a script written by the same people who wrote Superbad - one of whom stars in this movie, namely Seth Rogen. Rogen stars as a version of Seth Rogen the actor, who is meeting up with Jay Baruchel, again playing himself, in Los Angeles. All the actors are playing versions of themselves, just rather awful ones. Seth and Jay head to a party at the home of James Franco, and Seth is having a great time, Jay a bit less so. They head to a convenience store to refill on supplies when something terrible happens. The earth begins to quake, and some people are caught in blue beams and drawn up into the sky. Afraid for their safety and their lives, Seth and Jay head back to James's house. Freaked out by what's going on around them, the core group of James, Jonah Hill, Seth, Jay, and Craig Robinson band together to survive, and see what is to come. Seemingly a thousand actors cameo, including Michael Cera, Emma Watson, Mindy Kaling, David Krumholtz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Rihanna.The plot is a spin on the typical apocalypse fare, with five supremely unskilled men trying to live together and survive, and cracking jokes along the way. It's often profane and at least moderately disgusting, and while some of the jokes and sight gags are pretty hilarious, the special effects are pretty awful. If you enjoyed Pineapple Express, you'll probably enjoy this. If you're easily offend-ed, though, this definitely isn't for you. Rating is for practically everything you can think of: crude and sexual content throughout, brief graphic nudity, pervasive language, drug use, and some violence. Definitely not for kids.

The American Red Cross has worked closely with Southern Bank and Trust over the last two years to develop A blood program in the Mount Olive Communi-ty. On June 27, the Ameri-can Red Cross and Southern Bank and Trust will sponsor the first “Power in the Blood” community blood drive.

The event will take place from 1:30 to 6 p.m. at the Pope Wellness Center on the campus of Mount Olive Col-lege.

If the town purchased the equipment to handle the change it would cost around $15,000.

“We hesitate to go put and buy equipment and face a change again at a later date,” said town manager Charles Brown.

He said there was a lot of research done and contract-ing out the billing was de-termined to be the best and most economical route.

Brown said it will prob-ably start with August bills.

The new bills will be a full tri-fold in an envelope and it will be accompanied with a return envelope and custom-ers can simply put a stamp on it and return it.

Customers may also con-tinue to pay the bill in per-son at town hall.

“It just saves us from having to purchase expen-sive equipment and with no guarantee that the equipment would again be-come obsolete after several years,” explained the town manager.

Brown said once the post-cards on hand are used up the change will take place.

He said there are enough on hand to handle July bill-ing and maybe August.

The latest the change will become effective is the Sep-tember bill.
