Lineweaver Title I

Our school has been allocated $177, 097 in Federal Title I dollars for use during this school year.

The purpose of Title I is to …

Ensure that all students receive a high quality education from appropriately certified, effective, well-trained staff using evidence-based instructional methods.

Title I Funds are for…

supporting struggling learners with additional resources and help in reading and mathematics.

LineweaverSchool Performance/School Letter Grade

The Arizona State Department of Education annually ranks schools by assigning them a school grade. Currently our school has a school grade of__B___this grade is based on AZ Merit results from SY 18-19 and remains frozen due to the pandemic.

School grades are based on:

The percentage of students who passed the AZ Merit exam.

The percentage of students who obtained the expected (or better) academic growth.

Additional factors such as the percentage of students evaluated, the graduation rate, reclassification of English language students.

Title I funds help our school maintain / improve our school score by improving student achievement through the strategic use of federal funds.

Lineweaver Integrated Action Plan IAP

Our school leadership team will be revising a comprehensive plan starting in August which will address our student needs and allocate our school Title I resources as needed to support:

1. Well trained staff using effective teaching practices

2. To support struggling students

3. Build parental capacity to help students achieve in school

To ensure that all students receive a high quality education from appropriately certified effective staff using research based instructional methods, our school plan includes the following:

a. 90 minutes of regular reading instruction per day.

b. 60 minutes of regular mathematics instruction per day

c. Ongoing Teacher Training/Professional Development in online teaching best practices for all content areas and SEL Character Strong

To support struggling learners with additional resources and help in reading and mathematics, our school plan to improve reading achievement includes the following:

a. Reading/Math Interventions 30 minutes per day (as needed per student)

b. Reading/Math Tutors Tutoring information is forthcoming

Lineweaver Parents Right to Know

You have the right to request:

The qualifications of your child’s teacher and instructional staff

Your child’s level of achievement based on required state assessments

You must be informed within 4 weeks if:

Your child is being taught by a teacher who does not meet the appropriately certified requirements of the state

All of this information must be in a language and format that is understandable to you.
