Parking
Firstly I would like to thank you all
for your co-operation relating to
the parking this year. While we are
based in this current building this
issue is challenging. Therefore we
have to ask everyone to continue
to support us. Also a big thank
you to Celine Mc Loughlin and also
Maeve Mc Neill parents, who
helped us since weopened. As you are
aware with the
increase in numbers
in both schools this year the traffic
and parking situation has to be
managed to the best of our ability.
Parents or staff cannot park on the
drop off zone/drop off on the
roundabout.
Change of Morning
Routine
A current concern is the fact that
each morning we are delaying
parents leaving and this is causing
difficulties outside. With Health
and Safety in mind, fromtomorrow onwards (Wednesday)
the children will only sing outside
on Monday and Friday Mornings.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and
Thursdays the
teachers will
bring the
children straight
in at 8:30.
Junior Infants
Starting next Monday all the
Junior Infants will start lining up
outside with their teachers. They
have settled in so well and the
staff are delighted with them!
They have practiced at the end of
the day and familiar with the
process.
Family Day/Peace Day
We will be giving you information
regarding our Family Day/ Peace
Day very soon and the Parents
Group will be having a meeting to
get started arranging the Day next
Monday morning in the Parent’s
Room after drop off. If you can
help please fill out the slip below
and drop it into the RED BOX by
the door. Last year we had the
Peace Day and the theme was
'One Goal One Aim'. This tied in
with Amnesty International where
Sport was used all over the world
to bring people together on a
particular day. We are looking at
having a Parent Five a Side Soccer
Blitz and also some races for the
children. We are also looking at
having a BBQ. It is a fun day
where people have an opportunity
to meet outside of school. Thedate we are looking at is the last
Saturday in September (24th
) from
2-5pm.
In preparation for this we would
ask that you send in a white T-
shirt with your child
that will fit over
their clothes as they
will be paintingthem in class to wear on the
Family Day
Young Scientist

CLASS MEETINGS
We will be having class meetings
in October. These will be grouped
by class. This simply gives the
teacher an opportunity to meet
with you as a group and also to
inform you regarding your child's
education and class activities for
the year. In particular for new
parents it gives you an
opportunity to ask any questions
that may arise.
If you wish to meet with me or any
of the teachers regarding your
child or any issues, please do not
hesitate to make an appointment
Parent Council-BOM
The Parent Council will hold their
first meeting in October to discuss
nominations for the Board of
Management which needs to be
re-elected this October. The
