Set Induction
+5 minutes
Let the pupils sing and do the movement.
1. Teacher introduces a song about directions to the pupils.
2. The teacher shows the action based on the song.
3. The pupils then sing the song and do the same action together with the teacher.
4. The teacher asks the pupils about the words that have been highlighted in the song.
5. The teacher introduces the topic.
To set the mood andmentally prepare pupils forthe lesson.

To introduce focused words:
1. Go straight2. Turn left3. Turn right
1. Teacher shows pupils the word cards. (go straight; turn left; turn right)
2. Pupils say the words out loud and do the movement based on the word cards showed by the teacher.
3. Teacher brings them outside of the classroom and directs them to the canteen.
4. Teacher directs them and uses the word cards with stick showing the correct direction.
To activate pupils’ previous knowledge of the words learnt in previous lesson
To practice pronunciation with correct rhythm, stress and intonation
To ease pupils’ memory by connecting action and words.

“Get It Right” game.Pupils fill in the blank with correct directions.
1. Pupils sit in a group of three and the teacher gives instruction to them.
2. Each group gets incomplete directions text that requires them to fill in the blank the correct directions.
3. The directions text is based on their school map.
4. The pupils go outside of the classroom so that they are able to see and find the correct directions.
5. After the activity, pupils read together the text with the correct answer.

1. Teacher gives instruction to the pupils and gives them the materials.
2. Each pupil gets an envelope that consists of jumble up directions.
3. The pupils work individually to sequence the right directions based on the map given.
4. The pupils paste the jumble up directions in a correct sequence on their own A4 card.
