LEMONADE STANDYou must make decisions on

your recipe, price and take into consideration the weather.

You have a time frame of 30 days to make as much profit as you can..

You begin the game with $20 in the bank.

SETTING UP You control nearly every aspect of

your business. You have to consider pricing,

quality control, inventory control, buying supplies and the unpredictable weather conditions.

It takes several days to develop an idea of what its all about.

The first factor to consider is the recipe. It took a few days to get a recipe that people liked.

Once you have a recipe you have to estimate the amount of supplies you need.

The game gives you an indication of how many lemons are used per pitcher. This assists you with calculating your supplies.

The game also lets you know how much profit you have made, what your outgoings were you made for the day.

If you sell a good product for the right price, your business will grow over time and you will develop a good reputation.

Customers express their opinions on your lemonade through a speech bubble.

STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS

RECIPE A good recipe is an important

element in the successful running of your lemonade stand.

You need a good balance of lemons, sugar and ice.

It can take a number of days and adjustments to get your recipe right.

Customers will complain if the recipe is not satisfactory.

PRICE The price has to be just right. Too expensive and the customers will

not purchase your lemonade and they will complain.

Too cheap and you will not make enough profit for your business to be a success.

However if, over time, you gain a reputation for providing a good product, customers may be willing to pay that bit extra!

WEATHER The weather can impact greatly on the success of

your business. If the weather is hot more ice is needed and if it is

cold, then less ice is required. When the weather is hot it also brings out more

customers which means a good day for selling nice cold lemonade. So this means more supplies. However you have to be careful not to buy too many supplies as they will spoil.

If the weather is hot you can make a proce increase and make more profit.

If the weather is raining and cold the opposite effect happens.

SUPPLIES To enable you to make a sufficient

profit you have to make sure you have enough supplies.

If you do not have enough you will sell out too quickly and miss out on possible purchases.

If you have too many your supplies will spoil and you ice will melt. This will mean you have to purchase even more for the next day.

MY LEMONADE STAND

At first my start was slow. My price was 20c and it was too high. I had purchased too much ice and it melted.

My customer satisfaction was 51% and my popularity was 4%.

I slowly worked my way up varying the price, recipe and making sure I did not over spend on supplies.

I did not make huge amounts of money but my customer satisfaction was at times 100% and that is what I measured my success on the most!!
