The annual fee for new full time UK and EU entrants from September 2012 will be £8250

Graduates only start paying back their tuition and living cost loans once they are earning £21,000 or more.

The amount repaid each month will depend on a graduate’s earnings.

Repayments will be 9% of any income over £21,000; for example on an annual salary of £25,000 the weekly repayments would be £6.92, or around £30 a month.

The loans for tuition fees and for maintenance are treated as one when making repayments.

The debt is written off after 30 years.

Interest on your loan will be charged at inflation plus 3% while you are studying, and up until the April after you leave university.

From the April after you leave university if you are earning below £21,000, interest will be applied at the rate of inflation.

Graduates earning between £21,000 and £41,000 will be charged interest on a sliding scale up to a maximum of inflation plus 3%.

Graduates earning above £41,000 will be charged interest at the full rate of inflation plus 3%.
