Layered Flip Book Haggada By Chaim and Chaya Baila Wolf Brooklyn Teacher Center of Torah Umesorah

Grade Level: Early Childhood, Lower-Elementary Description: Students will easily be able to follow along at the Seder using this clearly labeled Haggada. Each page of the Simanei Haseder is a little longer than the pages above it. This creates layered strips of tabs. The students use the tabs to find a specific section of the Haggada. The template shows where to cut each pre-labeled page. There are two additional templates provided that have a short explanation of each of the Simanei Haseder written in either English or Yiddish. Goals/Objectives: Students will follow the order of the seder by referring to the labels at the bottom of the pages. They will complete the Haggada pages with writings, pictures or 3-D objects. Materials Needed:

Color cardstock

Black and white printer

Scissors

Book binding

Instructions: 1. Choose the language version for your class. 2. Print each page of the Haggada on a different color cardstock. 3. Cut each page where shown. 4. Layer all the pages and bind together at the top. 5. Give to the students. Have the students complete the Haggada pages with text, pictures

or 3-D objects. Additional Tips: Each section can have more than one page. Just be sure that all the pages from the section are cut to the same length.

When the father comes home from shul he makes קידוש right away so the children should not fall 

asleep.

We wash our hands but do not say the על נטילת ידים ,ברכה.

We take a piece of a vegetable, less than a כזית, and dip it into salt water. We say the ברכה, בורא פרי

.מרור should apply to the ברכה and have in mind that the האדמה

We break the middle מצה, which is called לוי, in half. The bigger piece we put away for אפיקומן, and 

the smaller piece we put back between the two מצות.

We begin the הגדה form הא לחמא עניא un l גאל ישראל.

We wash our hands and we say the על נטילת ידים ,ברכה.

We take all three מצות and say the המוציא לחם מן הארץ ,ברכה. We put down the bo om מצה and say 

the על אכילת מצה ,ברכה.

We take a כזית of מרור, dip it into חרוסת and say the על אכילת מרור ,ברכה.

We eat a כזית from the bo om מצה with a  כזית of מרור in between and say זכר למקדש כהלל.
