The most basic tip is to remember that Apple has a 100 character limit of keywords.
Here are some tips in selecting keywords for your
app in iTunes
Make sure that you separate every keyword only with comma (,) not with spaces.Otherwise, you will just waste every character you used for another keyword you could have add.
Try not to put very long keywords. It would only consume big amount to the character limit.
If you really want to put a certain long keyword, try to replace it with it's shorter synonym or similar word so you can save more characters.
In adding keywords, you will also make sure that they trigger a potential long tail keyword combinations.
