and concurrent discussion with leadership teams

MEASURES: Learn Humbly, Live in Community, Love Sacrificially, and Lead Courageously

Today’s Objectives

• Decide/commit on an articulation of our church’s strategy—the “map” that answer the question, “How are we doing it?”

Strategy is the process or picture of how our church accomplishes the mission on the broadest level.

Strategy Exercise, pg. 85

Strategy organizes our programs, events and ministries in such a way as to help church members know where to go next.

The ultimate measure of whether or not our church has a strategy is with a simple “napkin test.” Can the leadership of your church draw a simple picture that shows how you accomplish the mission on the broadest level?

How do we determine what that “missional map” should be?

What makes a great missional mark?

• Clear - Is it easy to understand?

• Concise - Is it short?

• Compelling - Is it pleasing to say?

• Catalytic - Does it call us to act?

• Contextual - Is it based in Scripture?

Next Meeting: July 3, 2016
