The Saskatchewan Broomball Association held its
annual “Sport For All Raffle” draw on April 11th,
2006. Once again terrific prizes, dedicated seller
groups, and generous sponsorship made the raffle
a success.
The raffle aids in development of Broomball
throughout the Province by providing funding for
promotional clinics and programs; Minor player
development; tournaments, provincial, and national
competitions; coaching programs; officials
development; Aboriginal development; member
programs and league development. These are just
some of the projects the S.B.A. is able to operate
as a result of raffle funds.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this
year’s raffle, your support is greatly appreciated.

Bantam Provincial Championships February 24 - 26, 2006
Odessa, SK.
The first ever Bantam Provincial (13 & under) was held in conjunction with the Juvenile Provincials in Odessa on
February 24th and 25th. We had two boy’s teams and two girls teams play this year. We hope to have sparked
some interest at this level and anticipate an even more successful event next year. In the boys division,
Odessa beat the Tri Town Buzzards 7-0, 6-0 and 3-0 to capture the Gold Medal. The girls teams were very
evenly match and Odessa took home the Gold Medal by beating the Deep Lake Raiders 3-0 in game three of the
best of three series. The Deep Lake Raiders won the opening game 1-0, then lost 4-2 to Odessa in the second
game.
