born on June 16, 1917 in Painfeild, New Jersey.
died on October 7, 2009 at the age of 92.He went to Philadelphia Museum School of
Industrial Art.He studied under Alexey Brodovitch.He ended up marrying his favorite model,
Lisa Fonssagrives.Style of photography Penn did was still life.

Irving studied drawing, painting, graphic and industrial arts.
He opened his art studio in 1953.He has worked for Vogue magazine.His photographs has also been in the
Museum of Modem Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Addison Gallery of American Art, and the Baltimore Museum of Art.
