Introduction to European Union Law Explanatory Leaflet - Summer term 2015

1. Class attendance: mandatory, everyone is allowed to miss only one unit max.

without cause! Sign yourself in the attendance list!

2. Weiss/Kaupa, European Union Internal Market Law covers parts of the main

topics (fundamental freedoms) and is available at the bookshop “Facultas” at

the ground floor of the “Juridicum”.

3. The coursebook accompanying the classes will be available at the European

Law Department, staircase 1, 5th floor - ask for Mrs. Berlakovich (office hours:

mon – thur, 10am-12pm); price: 8€

a. You won’t get copies of the slides! – everything will be found in the

coursebook!

4. Read the coursebook in consideration of the treaties (TEU, TFEU) and use them

in the units.

5. EXAMS (written): NO open book exam! NO special dates for exams!

a. main exam: 28th

of May 2015, 9 am – 11 am (90 minutes working time),

U15, Juridicum

b. 1 retake exam: 17th of June 2015, 9 am – 11 am (90 minutes working

time), Sem52, Juridicum

i. for those unable to partake in the main exam due to illness or

other valid unavoidable reasons: you must inform us in advance!

c. for Erasmus students: additional exam (2 additional ECTS): 27th of May

2015, 9am-10am (45 mins working time), Sem52, Juridicum

i. only if required according to the Learning Agreement (copy!)

You can bring the TEU and the TFEU as well as necessary regulations and

directives to the exams. All other materials are forbidden!
