Notebook

What is it? Your notebook is the tool for your success in Math. It allows you to keep track of lessons, worksheets, homework, and classwork for each day in an organized way

Daily Pages • Your Notebook will be updated daily. • On each page, you will copy down the starter, title, page number, and date.

• A page number should be written on each and every page.

Page Numbers

The page number needs to be in the bottom left-hand corner on the left side of the left page. It should be in a large print so it is easy to see while flipping through pages for a specific page.

The page number needs to be in the bottom right-hand corner on the right side of the right page. DO NOT cover page numbers when taping in papers.

Dates

The Date ALWAYS needs to be on the right-hand page in the top right corner.

It should be large like the page numbers so it is easy to see.

WARM-UP:

Label the section “Warm-Up” or “Starter” and ALWAYS copy the question and then complete it.

Lessons

Each day’s starter and lesson should take up 1 page in your INB. Sometimes a handout may have to be folded in half. Don’t worry about right vs. left!

Output

This could be many things, such as: ! Concept maps ! Diagrams ! Story ! Songs, poems, riddles ! Data charts and graphs ! Comics ! Math journal tasks ! Venn diagrams ! Math word problem creation

Sometimes a specific output task will be assigned to you. Sometimes you will choose your own. This is where you can be creative and use colour!
