WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS

“Here I am to Worship”

Light of the World, you stepped down

Into darkness

Opened my eyes, let me see

Beauty that made this heart adore you

Hope of a life spent with you

So, here I am to worship,

Here I am to bow down

Here I am to say that

You’re my God

You’re all together lovely,

Altogether worthy

Altogether wonderful to me.

King of all days, Oh so highly exalted

Glorious in heaven above

Humbly You came to the earth

You created

All for love’s sake became poor

So, here I am to worship,

Here I am to bow down

Here I am to say that

You’re my God

You’re all together lovely,

Altogether worthy

Altogether wonderful to me.

I’ll never know how much it cost

To see my sins up on that cross

I’ll never know how much it cost

To see my sins up on that cross

So, here I am to worship,

Here I am to bow down

Here I am to say that

You’re my God

You’re all together lovely,

Altogether worthy

Altogether wonderful to me.

So, here I am to worship,

Here I am to bow down

Here I am to say that

You’re my God

You’re all together lovely,

Altogether worthy

Altogether wonderful to me.

CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESSL: We confess our sins before God and one another.

Pause for silence and reflection.

P: Merciful God,

C: Forgive us, for we have fallen short of your vision

for humanity. We have put ourselves before others,

ignored the vulnerable, and forgotten you altogether.

We have missed the point of your kingdom. Have

mercy on us, for Jesus’ sake, amen.

P: Children, your God has not forgotten you. Jesus

knows your weakness and sees through your presence.

You are made whole simply by seeking forgiveness.

Receive the Lord’s pardon and believe that it is true, by

the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Holy Communion is open to all who confess Jesus

as Lord and believe that Jesus is present in the Bread

and Wine. If you desire gluten-free wafers, let the pastor

know at the time of distribution. Glasses of white grape

juice are available in each tray for those who do not wish

to receive wine.

WORDS OF

INSTITUTION

THE LORD’S PRAYER

OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY

NAME, THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS

IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD; AND

FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES, AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO

TRESPASS AGAINST US; AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND

THE POWER, AND THE GLORY, FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN.

INVITATION TO COMMUNIONP: Let us share in the supper of our savior!

All Who Are Thirsty

All who are thirsty,

All who are weak

Just come to the fountain

Dip your heart in the stream of life

Let the pain and the sorrow

Be washed away

In the waves of His mercy

As deep cries out to deep

We sing…

Come Lord Jesus come

Come Lord Jesus come

Come Lord Jesus come

Come Lord Jesus come

All who are thirsty,

All who are weak

Just come to the fountain

Dip your heart in the stream of life

Let the pain and the sorrow

Be washed away

In the waves of His mercy

As deep cries out to deep

We sing…

Come Lord Jesus come

Come Lord Jesus come

Come Lord Jesus come

Come Lord Jesus come

Won’t you come

Won’t you come

Come Lord Jesus come

Come Lord Jesus come

Come Lord Jesus come

Come Lord Jesus come

POST-COMMUNION BLESSING P: The body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ

strengthen you and keep you in his grace.

C: Amen.

POST-COMMUNION PRAYERP: It is only through Your grace, O Lord, that we are able

to approach Your table,

C: and it is only through Your Son’s mercy that we

are forgiven. Empower us to share that same grace

and mercy with all of creation. Amen.

READING MARK 12:13-17Then they sent to him some Pharisees and some

Herodians to trap him in what he said. And they came

and said to him, “Teacher, we know that you are sincere,

and show deference to no one; for you do not regard

people with partiality but teach the way of God in

accordance with truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to the

emperor, or not? Should we pay them, or should we

not?” But knowing their hypocrisy, he said to them, “Why

are you putting me to the test? Bring me a denarius and

let me see it.” And they brought one.

Then he said to them,“Whose head is this, and whose

title?” They answered, “The emperor’s”. Jesus said to

them, “Give to the emperor the things that are the

emperor’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And

they were utterly amazed at him.

L: THE WORD OF THE LORD,

C. THANKS BE TO GOD.

Lord, I Need You

Lord I come, I confess

Bowing here, I find my rest

And without you I fall apart

You’re the one that guides my heart

Lord I need You

Oh I need you,

Ev’ry hour I need you,

My one defense, my righteousness

Oh God, how I need you

Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more

Where grace is found, is where You are

And where you are, Lord I am free

Holiness, is Christ in me

Where you are, Lord I am free

Holiness, is Christ in me

Lord I need You

Oh I need you,

Ev’ry hour I need you,

My one defense, my righteousness

Oh God how I need you

Lord I need You

Oh I need you,

Ev’ry hour I need you,

My one defense, my righteousness

Oh God how I need you

My one defense, my righteousness,

Oh God, how I need you.

“All The People Said Amen”

RPG

You are not alone if you are lonelyWhen you feel afraid you're not the onlyWe are all the same in need of mercy

To be forgiven and be freeIt's all you got to lean onBut thank God it's all you need

And all the people said amen whoaAnd all the people said amen

Give thanks to the Lord for His love never endsAnd all the people said amen

If you're rich or poor well it don't matterWeak or strong you know love is what we're afterWe're all broken but we're all in this together

God knows we stumble and fallAnd He so loved the worldHe sent His son to save us all

And all the people said amen whoaAnd all the people said amen

Give thanks to the Lord for His love never endsAnd all the people said amen

Blessed are the poor in spirit who are torn apartBlessed are the persecuted and the pure in heart

Blessed are the people hungry for another startFor theirs is the kingdom the kingdom of God

And all the people said amen whoaAnd all the people said amen

Give thanks to the Lord for His love never endsAnd all the people said amen

And all the people said amen whoaAnd all the people said amen

Give thanks to the Lord for His love never ends,And all the people said Amen!CCLI Song # 6518275 Matt Maher | Paul Moak | Trevor Morgan © 2013 Universal Music - Brentwood Benson Publishing (Admin. by Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, Inc.)
