Introduction about Lion Befrienders- It is a Voluntary Welfare Organization,

founded in the year 1955- The main objective of the group is to

ensure that every senior is happy, healthy and active. It also aims to provide friendship and care and for seniors to allow them to enjoy their golden years.

- The Lion Befrienders’ iconic tagline is: ”Connecting Seniors, Enriching Lives.“

- The Lion Befrienders pledges to give their best to enrich the lives of those they touch.

- Its services are partially funded by the Ministry of Social & Family Development, National Council of Social Service and Tote Board.

History of Lions BefriendersOver 20 years of history in working with

the community to provide friendship and care for seniors to cope with the demands of daily living

This is to enable them to age-in-place within the community for as long as possible and lead meaningful and enriching lives

History of Lions BefriendersSince our inception in 1995, we have served more than 12,000 seniors and trained more than 3,000 befrienders.

Senior Group Home (SGH): In 2016, Lions Befrienders set up two Senior Group Homes in Mei Ling and Tampines under the new SCN operating model. The SGH is an assisted living option for frail seniors to mutually support each other.
