worked with Louis XIV• Forms Royal Academy of Music & Dance• 1661 – Louis XIV asks Beauchamps to record the

known foot & arm positions for ballet… these recording are the basis for all ballet technique

• Ballet becomes professional under Louis XIV, Beauchamps & Lully
