the 250 veteran canalmen, who at-tended the reunion at Rolling GreenPark, was H. A. Waters, of Lewis-town, one of the oldest canal boatmenin the State. Mr. Walters followedthe canal back in the fifties, boatingup (he West Branch of the canal. Mr.Walters is living here at the age of76 years, in good health. In CivilWar times he was a member of theFamous Logan Guards of the FirstDefenders. Later he became a grocerand coal dealer here, and was in busi-ness many years. lie served as coun-cilman from the Second ward.

Grandfather's Clock 175Years Old at Lemoyne

Lemoyne, Pa., Aug. 28.?David S.Eshelman, of 414 Hummel avenue, isthe owner of a grandfather's clockwhich, according to a local jeweler, isin the neighborhood of 175 years old?estimating from the make of theworks. The watchmaker stated thathe believes the clock was made be-fore eight-day clocks were invented.Mr. Eshelman obtained the clockfrom his grandfather, Thomas Hamil-ton. of York county, and he had se-cured the relic from a York countyman. The present owner has had theclock for nearly 35 years and his rela-tive held it for more than 50 years.

Mr. Eshelman also owns an old-fashioned looking glass which is morethan 100 years old.
