THIS MODEST EXISTANCE,MY MID LIFE EPIPHANY. HERE IS TO THE FUTURE.-ROY TARLING

This haiku, by my interpretation, is a story of a man who had every intentions of following his dreams but was driven off track after falling into the routeen of a stable yet creatively draining career. At a certain point in his like a stable paycheck and job security cannot out weigh the yearning for an adventurous life.

The piece will be narrated, but due to the brief nature of a haiku most of the story will come through with visuals. Regardless of the final style, the piece will mimick the emotions of the main character beginning with depressed menotomy and ending with the happy dreams of a more exciting life.

This style would rely on flat vector shapes with high contrast and minimal shading.

Hitting a darker tone, this style uses collage and heavy textures. While hand drawn lines and scribbles contribute to the visual themes of being lost in life.
