What is taking place globally will affect the success of your company.

Competitors may be around the corner or half-way around the world.

Customers may be Canadian or resident in some distant country.

Suppliers may be anywhere in the world.

How can I become prepared for this new business environment?

The Global Management Major

To be successful businesses must focus on achieving certain goals e.g. maximizing profits and shareholder value.

This requires attention to several functional areas such as human resources, marketing, finance and accounting.

What serves to link all of these different functional areas together to ensure the success of your business in an integrated globalized environment is the discipline of:

GLOBAL MANAGEMENT

A Global Management Major offers courses in:

International marketing International relations Manufacturing management The management of international enterprises Legal aspects of international business Project management International trade Global management strategy International finance, and Ethics in international business.

In addition students will take a regional course from the following list:

The North American Business Environment The Asian Business Environment The European Business Environment The Latin American and Caribbean Business

Environments The African Business Environment The Middle Eastern Business Environment

For your global management major you must complete the following required courses:

Successfully completing the global management major will give you the tools that you need to compete in the new global business environment.
