^Jorth America, Britain, and oth-er countries have been reaching intotheir store of superlatives to describethe fantastic talent of Jamaica's reign-ing King of Reggae — Bob Marley.On his tours of Britain, and morerecently of Canada and NewYork, every reviewer has extolled thedynamism and talent of this youngman who has set the world of popularmusic a-flame with his searing rhythmsand lyrics, backed up by the com-pelling beat of Jamaican Reggae.

The Wailers first gained popularity with a songentitled "Simmer Down," a song written by Bunny

."Wailers" Livingston in 1964 and featured his voice.Other members included Peter Tosh, Beverly Kelsoand Junior Braithwaite, the group's lead singer BobMarley' was then residing in the U.S.A. with hismother. "Simmer Down" made it to the top on bothradio stations.

. During the period 1964-1966 the Wailers recordedsuch hits as "Lonesome Feeling", "Go Jimmy Go", "Ithurts to be alone". These songs all made their way tothe top of the charts and firmly established the'groupas one of the best on the music scene in Jamaica.

In 1966 the Wailers saV the departure of Beverly.Kelso and Junior Braithwaite.

Bob Marley had returned from the U.S.A. andalong with Peter Tosh and Bunny "Wailers" carried onthe group. This was a difficult time for them in that
