Explanatory Notes
1. This list has been compiled in accordance with the instructionsof the Contracting Parties at the Fourth Session (GATT/CP.4/SR,19) andit supersedes the previous one issued under symbol GATT/CP/76.
2, Listed herein are the decisions, resolutions and declarations whichhave been made by the Contracting Parties as well as those rulings, recom-mendations, agreements and other dispositions of a similar nature which areto some extent of permanent interest.
3. The decisions, etc., are listed under the articles of the GeneralAgreement under which they have been taken, or to which they are more orless relevant, Subsequent actions taken pursuant to these decisions,etc, are recorded thereunder, References to background information, whichwere given in the previous list, have been omitted from the present issue;such references are to be found in the "Index to the Documents of theContracting Parties" in GATT/CP/INF/3 and Add.1.
4. The list covers the period up to April 30, 1951; it thereforerecords such actions taken at all the past sessions of the Contractingparties including the first Special Session in March-April 1951, as wellas in between sessions.
