As was published in The Sun of
Saturday morning at an adjournedmeeting of the City Council held
night the resignation of Marshallien T Arnow was presented and ac-
cepted by that bodyThe circumstances etc which caus-
ed this resignation have already beenpublished and our readers are perfect-
ly familiar with them Marshal Ar
now received a telegram calling himto Brunswick Ga immediately andhe left the city without securing au-
thority from the proper source hencehe was suspended by Mayor Uavlupon this charge Policeman Owenswas sworn in since which time hehas been acting marshal and theresignation of Mr Arnow and ac-
ceptance by the council will end thematter
Marshal Arnow was serving thecity for the third term and It may-
be said to his credit that he made-
an able and efficient officer Mr Arnow Intimated to the thattoo much politics was playing in
this game hence decided to beand save further skirmishing over
the matterThe Resignation
