DESCRIPTION

Step by step process teaching you how to use Web 2.0 Tool Kahoot. Kahoot is a very fun way to to assess your students.

TRANSCRIPT

Start by logging into your Kahoot account

If you do not have an account, then sign up for it. It is fast and

simple

This will be the screen that comes up once you have logged in. To create a quiz, click on

the quiz button underneath, “Create new Kahoot”

Then give your quiz a name, and press “Go!”

Once you hit “Go” write your question where it says “Question 1.” Write the Answers on the button above the

“correct” and “incorrect” signs. You are also able to upload an image, or video to help the students. You can also choose if the questions are worth any points, and control the time

your students have on each question.

Once you have finished writing your question click “Add question.” If you do not want to

add any more questions, then click on “Next: reorder questions”on the bottom right

When you click on “Next: Reorder Questions” It will bring you to a page that has all your questions. After you have ordered them the

way you like click on, “Next: settings”

It will then direct you to this page, where you can choose the language, privacy setting and primary audience. You are also

able to add a little description for you Kahoot, the level of difficulty of it, and any tags. Once you have finished adding

all of these to it click on, “Next:cover image”

This will show up asking for a cover image if you wish. If not click on, “Done”

It will lead you to this page. When Ready to play with your classroom, click on “Play now”

in the center.

After you click, “Play Now” a few options will appear such as “Display game pin throughout?” “Show minimized lobby instructions?” “Randomize order of

answers in each question?” and “Play music in the lobby whilst waiting?” Choose the ones you wish to apply in

your quiz and then press, “Launch”

Have the students take out their devices, and go to kahoot.it

It will ask them for a pin number, and have them put in the one on the screen

After they have put the pin in, it will ask for their nickname. Have them write in their names, and once

everyone is in the system press, “Start now"

The questions will appear like this on your screen and for them to see, but on the students devices they will only see the

shapes. They have to click the answer they believe is correct, and will automatically find out if they go it right or not.

A bar graph with how many students answered each answer will show up after all the students have answered

the questions.

After the bar graph will show the students scoreboard

At the end of the game the screen will show the class winner

After the quiz is over, it will ask the students to rate the quiz

And show you the ratings

And finish off the entire lesson by showing you the final

scoreboard

Next is the discussion post. To create a discussion post, click on the discussion button underneath, “Create new

Kahoot”

Name your discussion post and press, “Go!”

Write your questions where it says to, and provide as many answers as you wish. Once you have done that

press, “Next: Settings”

It will then direct you to this page, where you can choose the language, privacy setting and primary audience. You are also able to add a little description for you Kahoot, the difficulty

level of it, and any tags. Once you have finished adding all of these to it click on, “Next:cover image”

This will show up asking for a cover image if you wish. If or if not click on,

“Done”

It will lead you to this page. When your classroom is ready click on, “Play now”

in the center.

Kahoot”

Name your survey and press, “Go!”

Once you hit “Go” write your question where it says “Question 1.” Write the Answers on the bottom in the spaces provided. You are also able to upload an image, or video to help the students. You can also

control the time your students have on each question. Once you have finished click, “Next: settings”

When you click on “Next: settings” It will bring you to a page that gives you the options to choose language, privacy settings, and your primary audience. You can also write a description, choose the level of difficulty,

and tag anything you think is necessary. Once you have finished press, “Next: cover image”

This will show up asking for a cover image if you wish. If or if not click on,

“Done”

in the center.
