KM 311 fans.
E. CONCLUSION Fan design parameters are clearly indicated in the technical datasheet supplied with every fan. They
must be noted carefully when planning an installaon. It is possible to retrofit fans and achieve
significant power savings which eventually impact the revenues of the company by reducing
maintenance costs as well. Customer has expressed sasfacon with the results and plans further
intervenons to opmise plant performance and profitability.

A. ISSUE
Customer wanted to opmise power consumpon in the factory . They requested for a site audit in areas of high power consumpon.
C. ACTION
The customer decided to take up retrofit of two fans to assess the savings in power as well as opmise machine performance which were creang high sucon pressure and consuming almost full load current for the actual requirement of Air Volume and Sucon pressure. Customer was presented with the data and a life cycle cost analysis for a retrofit installaon that would be aligned with the machine working condions. Customer agreed with the soluon offered and installed two
B. OBSERVATION
Customer was provided observaon data, fan performance data, vibraon report and bearing condion report along with suggesons.
All small fans connected to compactors with 4kw motor installed running without problem, except the ones fixed for lapformer sucon. It was observed fans installed for lapformer machine were drawing high current and creang much more pressure and controlling this heavy sucon was difficult. controlling, Even aer the fans were drawing 4kw.

FAN MANAGEMENT PLAN
FAN MANAGEMENT PLANOur FAN MANAGEMENT PLAN (FMP) has been carefully developed to provide a superior level
of service and reliability. Our fundamental understanding of fans developed during the design
and construcon phase is illustrated in the FMP.
The aim of FMP is to reduce costs by improving efficiency. It creates equipment history
on which is based plans for retrofits and spare parts purchases thus avoiding unplanned
stoppages.
THREE LEVELS OF FAN MANAGEMENT
Our knowledge, experience and experse in fan construcon and operaon coupled with our
commitment to the Indian market makes the FMP the best tool to opmise ownership costs.
